This process helps remove any peculiar smells and forms a protective anti-rust layer on the inner wall through contact with water and oxygen.

For daily use and maintenance, it is important to pour out any remaining water after each use and allow the residual heat to evaporate the moisture, preventing rust. However, one should avoid drying the iron kettle without water, as this may cause it to crack or burst, shortening its lifespan. Similarly, quickly cooling the hot teapot should be avoided to prevent damage.

When cleaning the cast iron teapot, it is recommended to use only water, avoiding the use of iron balls, sponge brushes, or detergents.
